Our Story
Started as a passion for travel and good eats, my stable chaos grew into a place sharing honest reviews and fun finds. We’re Martin and Wendy – a couple based just outside Nashville, Tennessee, who have been married for over 20 years and are still each other’s favorite travel companion.
We’re in our mid-50’s working full-time, staying close to our family, and enjoying life in a way that feels both grounded and exciting.
Our Life Now
After years of raising kids and putting family first, we’ve entered what we like to call our “Platinum Years”. It’s a season where we finally have a little more freedom to explore, try new things, and enjoy the experiences we worked so hard for.
We still live real, busy lives- but we’ve learned that you don’t need unlimited time or money to enjoy meaningful experiences.
What We Love
We’re self-proclaimed foodies with a real appreciation for craft cocktails, local breweries, wineries, and a good glass of bourbon.
More than anything, we love discovering places with personality- whether that’s a hidden speakeasy, a beachside patio, or a small town spot that ends up being the highlight of the trip.

Some of the best places we’ve experienced weren’t the ones everyone talks about- they were the ones we stumbled into.

The meaning Behind “My Stable Chaos”
The name My Stable Chaos reflects how we see ourselves. It represents a beautiful contradiction, the “Stable” speaks to being grounded, reliable, and experienced – years of building a life, raising a family, and creating a strong foundation. The “Chaos” captures the other side of that identify-the pull toward adventure and new experiences.
Together, it represents a life that is both steady and evolving…where comfort and curiosity exist side by side.
And that’s exactly how we approach everything we share – balanced, real, and always open to repeat adventures and new memories.
